Nightlife Brewing – Miami, FL

The name is misleading and this place is not what you think. We were a little apprehensive on our drive over but were pleasantly surprised to find the tasting is NOT a club! Celebrating Miami’s rich history and how the nightlife played a huge part, the tap room serves up a rounded variety of nice beers just steps from the baseball stadium. We enjoyed the pale ale and the brown ale which were excellent thirst quenchers after our lunchtime stroll through Little Havana.

Concrete Beach Brewing – Miami, FL

Ok, so this is the 2nd brewery today that is serving beer in plastic cups but this place gets a pass. Today is Miami Gras here and they closed the street to hold a block party celebrating Miami, Mardi Gras and Carnaval all in one place. We drank the Stiltsville pils and Havana lager, both were very good.

Veza Sur Brewing – Miami, FL

Our 3rd stop on this Saturday tour, the variety and delivery is much better than the last stop. Serving up Latin inspired brews, we were excited to visit this place until we discovered that its owned by Anheiser-Busch. Although they do brew onsite, its always sad to find another “corporate take-over” of a fine local beer market to benefit shareholders. Knowing this, our Mango Blonde Ale and Seasonal Pilsner started tasting more like Bud Light the closer we got to the bottom of the glass!

J. Wakefield Brewing – Miami, FL

Well, after the last brewery, this place is a bit disappointing. What kind of brewery only has 4 beers on draft? Oh, the one that is more like a club than a tasting room. We drank the El Jefe hefe on draft and the 24th Steet brown ale in can (yes, I said in a can). Both were pretty decent but we couldn’t get over the fact of having more canned beer that draft. Is that what a tasting room is all about? Oh and one more thing – who serves craft beer in plastic cups?! (clubs do)

Wynwood Brewing – Miami, FL

Named after the Wynwood neighborhood in which it resides, this tasting room reflects the “artistic” feel of the area. With buildings covered in graffity and tourist walking the streets, this brewery has all the typical entertainment you would normally find in an intimate tasting room. Board games, groovy music and great conversation all compliment the wide variety of beers on the menu. We enjoyed the La Rubia blonde ale and the Magic City pale ale.

Devour Brewing – Boynton Beach, FL

Eclectic tasting room with vintage video games, lava lamps, Storm Trooper string lights and other unique stuff. Cool vibe and simple decor with groovy music overhead. We enjoyed the Nitro Coffee & Cream brown ale and the 30th Ave pale ale.

Mathews Brewing – Lake Worth, FL

Yet another family-oriented brewery offering an outside courtyard with board games and picnic style seating. A decent variety of beers and a food truck serving up staple dishes like wraps and quesadillas. We had the Sweet Emotion cream ale and the Night Moves amber ale. Both were very smooth with great finishes.

West Palm Brewery – West Palm Beach, FL

Your typical large scale brewery located downtown, this place has everything you would come to expect. Busy, retail merch, families with screaming kids and a loud atmoshpere. Plenty of TV’s and a small exhibition style kichen. They also have a small wine bar for those West Palm locals requiring a more sophisticated drink. Offering about a half-dozen house beers and over a dozen guest beers, we drank the B4 Blonde and the 1 Star Dougie Mosaic IPA. Both were pretty tasty!
