Tampa Beer Works – Tampa, FL

Cozy tasting room in a commercial garage-front complex with outdoor seating and live entertainment. This is our kinda place except they only brew IPA’s and Stouts. We had the Joosy Froot IPA and the Hop Sesh IPA which were pretty decent considering we aren’t IPA people.

Two Henrys Brewing – Plant City, FL

This place serves double duty for both the brewery and Keel & Curley Winery.  Most of the beers here reflect the fruity flavors of wine such as blackberry, blueberry, mango and strawberry so we stayed safe trying only the Gilded Age Golden Lager. The name of this brewey was a nod to Henry Flagler and Henry Plant – both recognized for their contributions to establishing railroad service in Florida .

Saltwater Brewery – Delray Beach, FL

THE MUSIC IS TOO LOUD!!! This place reminds us of the Funky Budda. While it is a neat place with a shuffleboard,  outdoor seating and a food truck, its too commercialized with large crowds, loud music (at 4pm on a Saturday?) and kids running around. They were even selling Girl Scout cookies at the entrance. We couldn’t drink our House Ale and Couch Surfer quick enough to get out of here!

Eight-Foot Brewing – Ft. Myers, FL

This unusually decorated tasting room was located in the industrial area of town. We were told by the server that the owner likes octopus but she couldn’t explain the connection to the name.  We had the Tmave Pico czech dark lager and Pumpkin Ale which were brewed onsite. We always love the smell of tasting rooms that brew onsite – reminds you of a bakery!

Old Soul Brewery – Ft. Myers, FL

The 3rd stop on our mini tour, I’ve failed to mention our good friends Brian and Melissa are with us on this journey today. The four of us felt a little out of place while we savored our Creekside Kolsch and Comb Over honey ale. Offering live music later in the evening, this quite, low keyed tasting room had some interesting folks playing pool and hanging out in the sofa area. Perhaps the reason for the name?

Costal Dayz Brewery – Ft. Myers, FL

This quaint, beachy little tasting room is serving up tasty beers brewed offsite.  We really liked the Bimini blonde ale and South Pier pils along with the friendly server and patrons.  Opened in April 2018, this nautical themed tap room is located downtown on the Southwest Florida Ale Trail. A must-visit while in Ft. Myers!

Millennial Brewing – Ft. Myers, FL

This is the 1st stop on our Ft. Myers/Monkey Birthday Weekend brewery tour. We started with a Johnny 5 ESB and Blueberry Wheat. Both were pretty good except for the fact they were served in plastic cups. There was a Baby-boot-camp event going on with lots of kids, pregnant mothers and vendor booths set up. They also had a couple of Pool tables, pinball machines, table games and live music. We were trying to make a connection with the 80’s theme decor featuring Back To The Future, Star Wars and Star Trek. We were pleasantly surprised by the Mimosa and bloody mary bars which we have never seen in a tap room. Sunday’s are Family Day!

Robot Brewing – Boca Raton, FL

Not to be confused with the Wooden Robot in Charllotte, this tasting room was the original Funky Buddha brewery that moved south and expanded. We enjoyed the Binary Blonde ale and the Red Rust red ale – both of which were excellent!. Great server and good patrons made the stop well worth it. We were glad Buddha moved on that made way for this cool Hooka lounge turned brewery to come in and make some awesome beers. A shout out to owners Allen & Natalie for the free round – thanks for telling us about your place!

Crazy Uncle Mikes – Boca Raton, FL

The nice couple Jerry and Debbie from the last brewery gave us the history on this place. Turns out this place has changed hands and has been several different restaurants over the past couple years. We drank the Kellerbier lager and the Licensed To Pils czech pilsner which were both delicious!

Prosperity Brewery – Boca Raton, FL

So it’s been a while since we visited a NEW brewery and this one reminded us of why we love tasting rooms. Cool rustic vibe with a friendly server and great atmosphere. We met a nice couple who gave us the low-down on a brewery for our next stop. We enjoyed the Pale Not pale ale and the Intra-Kolsch-tal.
