Naples Beach Brewery – Naples, FL

Located in a commercial garage complex just minutes from the airport, this tiki-themed brewery is serving up a good variety of beers but mostly IPA’s. The beachy vibe is complimented by the bustle of activity in the driveway where other businesses are winding down after a long work week. The food truck is serving up a working man’s menu of delicious sandwiches to compliment the tasty beers. We enjoyed the Naples Classic golden ale and the 239 Amber ale.

Ankrolab Brewing – Naples, FL

Our 1st stop on the 2020 Tour! This brewery offers up nearly two dozen well-rounded brews ranging from light lagers to malty stouts. We started things off with a couple of what they call “euro classics” which was Kolscheral and Festbeir. Both were very tasty !

Holy Mackerel 2.0 – Fort Lauderdale, FL

So we first visited this brewery back in April 2018 and found their beers to be very unique.  Since then, they changed names, moved out of Pompano and now have setup shop in an old seafood restaurant. Not quite sure what to make of all this. The beers haven’t really changed but they now offer BBQ out of the onsite kitchen and a whole host of guest beers from other local breweries. This place is no longer the small intimate tasting room with the helpful barkeep/owner willing to share his insights to beer. This once small tasting room has fell pray to the temptation of becoming more than just a great brewery – it has become a full-service bar with no real identity.

3 Sons Brewing – Dania Beach, FL

Today we brought along our daughter, Zoey to celebrate her 2nd birthday (Wednesday) with a little mini brewery tour on this warm Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, this place serves food so she wasn’t allowed to hang out inside. We sipped on the Rice Crispy Bios lager and the Antique Alley amber ale out in the sweltering heat fending off the flies and sweat under the portable tent and plastic Ana Ron deck chairs. We will definitely come back sometime to try their brick oven pizza in the comfort of air condioned tap room.

Fort Myers Brewing – Fort Myers, FL

So this brewery has a special meaning. Not only is this the last stop on our 2019 Labor Day weekend tour but it’s also our 200th brewery on a tour that started in San Diego in 2016 during a Christmas get-away.  For the most part, this stop is everything we expected for such a milestone like 200. While this brewery has a stong selection of great beers, live music, indoor & outdoor seating, an IndyCar race on the TV and a food truck in the parking lot, our utopia was briefly interrupted by a small group of shrieking kids out on the makeshift dancefloor acting like they were at Chucky Cheeses. All in all, we enjoyed our Gateway Gold blonde ale and FM Light German pils while chatting with some local folks originally from the Chicago area.

Bury Me Brewing – Fort Myers, FL

This morbid-themed tasting room offers up over one and a half dozen killer brews  ranging from light cream ales to Imperial Stouts. The friendly and personable server delighted us with the Creamation cream ale and the Hellbound honey brown ale. These were two of the better beers we have had in quite a while!

Scotty’s Bierwerks – Cape Coral, FL

This place is our first stop on the last day of our Fort Myers brewery tour. Located about 30 minutes from where we are camping, this classic tasting room is just what we like – rustic industrial feel with regular patrons and good conversation. Decorated with over a dozen beer competition medals and merchandise, we started the afternoon off with the Miracle blonde ale and their Irish red ale. After getting our pints poured, we regretted not having the German light lager as the server teased us with a little taster of this award winning beer. This brewery is a must-visit if your are in the Cape Coral – Fort Myers area!

Big Blue Brewing – Cape Coral, FL

Our final stop of the day (our limit is now 3 per day as we get older), this popular brewery offer not only a superb variety of delicious beers but also has a full kitchen serving up tasty apps, sandwiches and staple entrees. We snacked on the crab dip followed by the steak sandwich washing it all down with the Lightest Thing Ya Got lager and the Amber Energy red ale. We even went into overtime and hung around to have a Harbour Hopper blonda ale.
