Line Creek Brewing – Peach City, GA

This tasting room was a bit of a drive from the track but well worth the trip. They were serving a lot of the beers we like such as ales, lagers and IPA,s. We drank their Corkonian Irish red ale and their #ConserveGeorgia pecan amber ale while snacking on pretzels and “swamp” peanuts

Bold Monk Brewing – Atlanta, GA

Our last stop for the day, this place offers not only a nice variety of beers but also a pretty decent food menu. We wrapped up the day with the Little Gem salad and the 1838 pizza washing it all down with the Chant lager and the Shared Spirit IPA. WARNING! Don’t play pizza roulette with the beer tender as the 1838 is not for the faint at heart – very spicy but great flavor! We are embarrassed to say we had to order water but the beer tender Scott made up for it with a complimentary Gingerbread Stout dessert which was out of this world.

Steady Hand Beer Co. – Atlanta, GA

Just 3 minutes from the last brewery, we had no time to reflect on what we just experienced before being introduced to the next brewery in this little cluster of food and beverage establishments. This tasting room definitely reflects our lifestyle with decor that looks like a campsite. One of us stayed true to our brewey tour philosophy by ordering up a pint of the Searching for Gold and the other ordered a “Barbie beer” of the Winter Ale.

Second Self Beer Co. – Atlanta, GA

Yet another simple tasting room but great beer. Located in the Upper West Side, we sailed into this tasting room just after a deluge of rain flooded the winding streets between our brewey stops. Started by a couple of corporate guys finding their “second selves”, we quenched our thirsts with the Golden Blonde ale and the ATale pale ale. The friendly sales guri Timmy gave us some great insight into the brewery and even offered a free tour but we were afraid we would try to jump into one of the fermentation tanks for a swim!

Atlanta Brewing Co. – Atlanta, GA

Probably the largest craft beer operations in town, this tasting room is simple yet effective serving up 20 brews ranging from light lagers to Russian Imperial stouts and everything in between. We started the afternoon off with something on the lighter side sipping on the Homestand pils and the New Eastern Standard lager.

Halfway Crooks – Atlanta, GA

Located just blocks from the Braves stadium, we stopped in expecting to try a couple of their German beers and a pretzel and ended up with the Decimal Kellerpils and the Shell Schwarzbier. Both were just ok but the pretzel was out of this world. The cheese looked like orange sorbet but was actually a cheddar-gouda blend and the mustard had enough horseradish to clear the most clogged sinuses! One of the post said this place looks like grandma’s basement but it reminded us of a French country home.

Monday Night Garage – Atlanta, GA

A true tasting room! Located in an old manufacturing facility within the Historic West End, this place is everything a tasting room should be. No frills, eclectic furniture, a food truck parked inside and brewing operations for all to see. We had the In The Boat golden ale and the Han Brolo pale ale. Both were very tasty along with the Korean Kimchi BBQ pork rinds!

Nine State Brewery – Inverness, FL

The only brewery in this one-horse town, they brew small batches of unique beers mostly leaning towards Stouts. We tried the QB-Barb blonde ale made with barbecue rub and the Heading North peanut butter stout. Awesome!

Riptide Brewing – Naples, FL

Locate close to downtown, this nautical themed small-batch brewery is serving up our kinda beers! With live music and a barbecue food truck, we indulged in some Gouda nachos and Gouda mac & cheese washing it down with a Polly Wants a Pils and a Geezer Pleaser blonde ale. The food was so good, we broke our rule and had a second beer sharing the Hoppy New Year amber ale.
