Arkane Aleworks – Largo, FL

One word: CRAZY! So we have had some pretty interesting beers along the way but this is a first. At first glance, the menu look like any other tap room offering a wide variety of interesting beers but the Monster Jam banana fosters sour if out of this world. It’s think & creamy and tastes like well, banana fosters! The other 3 beers, Skinny Clouds IPA, Gluten Tog dunkleweizen and Hopsterical hoppy IPA were all great as well.

Anecdote Brewing – Indian Rocks Beach, FL

This no-frills taproom located in a strip mall offers about a dozen & a half unique beers ranging from sours to stouts. They also offered flights but we would compare them to an RJ-45 rather than an Airbus since they were only 3 beers. We had the She’s Always Right pastry gose, Tropical Riot hazy IPA and the light lager guest beer from Unbranded Brewing. All the beers were good (even the gose) but the hazy was our favorite.

Mastry’s Brewing – St. Pete, FL

Finally, a place that offers flights! This place offers quite the selection so it was hard to choose but ultimately we decided on the Breezy Tropical blonde, Boca Ciega Bay IPA, The Ecstacy of Gold juicy hazy IPA and Redshift imperial hazy red IPA. All of the beers were awesome so you must stop by this place is you afe ever out on the island!

Sea Dog Brewing – Treasure Island, FL

The last time we visited a Sea Dog was up in Portland last summer and was disappointed to find out it was not the actual brewery. This one is basically the same except they do brew a couple of beers here. The location is great sitting right on the intercostal canal with water views. We again had their famous blueberry but also the Hazy Lazy IPA brewed right on site.

Mad Beach Craft Brewing – Madeira Beach, FL

Craft beers on the beach! We started off easy this morning (11:30a) with a couple of easy drinking Vienna Lager and Czech Pils along side their famous Totchos (tater tots instead of nacho chips). The beers were pretty tasty but the totchos were just OK.

Pee Pa’s Garage Brewing – Pinellas Park, FL

If we owned brewery, this is probably what it would look like. Part bar, part garage with vintage cars, car parts, picnic tables and TV’s. They only offered 5 beers of their own but and 8 guest beers. We drank the Crimson & Cream red ale and the White Rabbit white stout which were just OK.

Rapp Brewing – Seminole, FL

So we’ve been talking about doing a St. Pete mini-tour weekend for so long and now we are finally doing it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. First stop is this place that has a nice variety of beers and a pizza food truck parked outside and we even brought along the kids. We drank a couple of pints of their Blonde Ale and Irish Red along with our pizza then stuck around and had two more pints of the Kolsch and American Amber. Everything was great!

Red Pig Brewery – Daytona Beach, FL

This is another one of those great breweries – small, quaint tasting room that has the vessels sitting right behind you. There are only five beers on their menu so we got a fight of four: Koji Kolsch, Distortion of Time pale ale, A Place Less Traveled american pale wheat and Splenetic bitter session. OMG – all of the beers were AWESOME!.

Dunes Brewing – Port Orange, FL

This beach-chic themed brewery is located out on the intercoastal island just over the bridge and serves up a simple menu of just 6 beers. We drank a Black Lager and a Hazy IPA. Both beers were pretty good but the tasting room was a bit loud and echoy (if that’s a word).
